Student No. 1 is a 2001 film starring Jr. NTR,Gajala, rajeev Kanakala & Kota. The film is directed by S S Raj Mouli. Recently dubbed into Hindi as "Aaj Ka Mujrim". The movie is produced by the Swapna Cinema Banner, being produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, K Raghavendra Rao. The music of the film by M M Keervani and the film was released on 27th September 2001.

Story

Aditya (played by Jr. NTR) joins a Law College in Vizag with a clear expectation to become a lawyer as per his father's wish. He, however gets tested and ragged by Satya (played by Rajeev Kanakala), the college level rowdy. Aditya gets to know that Satya is a pain in the neck for most of the students and plans to change him. Hence he starts inspiring Satya that love is great and that there is no meaning in life if he is not in love. During this inspiring process, Gajala too gets inspired and feels that Aditya is in love with her. The rest of the story rotates around how Aditya fixes the expectations of both Satya and Gajala.

During the process, students of the college gets to know that Aditya has a serious flash back. Aditya tell them that he is a murderer and has accidentally killed a goon when saving a girl from a rape. The murder has led Aditya to become a criminal. Aditya surrenders before the police, gets arrested and is sent to a prison in Vizag. He takes a special permission from jail to pursue a Law degree. Aditya's father who is in the legal profession sends him away from home.

The story continues as Aditya gets his law degree and becomes a proud son of his father.
