Jr NTR called on the fasting TDP leader and extended his solidarity to him on the issue of farmers.

Speaking to the media later, Jr NTR  demanded the Government to rescue the farmers by offering them Rs.10,000 per acre as compensation. He flayed the Congress party for politicizing Mr Chandrababu’s fast, while he was fighting the cause of farmers in distress. He said the Government hs failed to provide proper relief to the farmers who lost their crops.

"The condition of my uncle is bringing tears to my eyes. We had advised him not to undertake the fast keeping in view his health but he did not care for himself for the sake of farmers," said Junior NTR.

Cine star Tharakaratna and others also called on Mr Naidu earlier.
