Jr.NTR’s upcoming film Shakti has been getting mind blowing offers from all over the state. We had earlier reported that the film had got Rs 10 crores each offers from Nizam and Ceded regions. The latest buzz is that the film has set a record of sorts in Jr.NTR’s career in Guntur district. The distribution rights for Guntur district alone are believed to have been quoted at around Rs 3.5 crores, which is also one of the biggest offers which a film has got before release. Interestingly, the district was in limelight during Simha’s release last year. After the initial distribution rights were sold for Rs 1.8 crores, the local distributor in Guntur bought the film for the area for Rs 4 crores and the film managed to gross more than that in its entire run! It will be interesting to see how Shakti would fare in Guntur, which is traditionally considered to be one of Jr.NTR’s main bastions. The film is being hyped as a Rs 45 crores visual extravaganza!
Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film also has Ileana in a lead role. Aswini Dutt has produced the film on Vyjayanthi Movies banner and Mani Sharma has composed the music. The film has been recently censored with an A Certificate and it will hit the screens on April 1.
